Photography Portrait Locations in Dallas Fort Worth

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite locations to photograph brides, engagements and portraits in the Dallas – Fort Worth Area:

The Canal in Las Colinas: The area has an European feel and my clients LOVE photo backgrounds! Located by the Omni hotel, the canal offers many options for gorgeous portraits, while remaining in the same location. Beautiful architecture adds the perfect ambiance to any photograph. Old Red Courthouse downtown. In Las Colinas near the Mustangs.

Downtown: This is my favorite, any downtown will do. Fort Worth, Dallas, Keller, Grapevine. I do not always like posed looking pictures for my engagement sessions. In a downtown setting I can just capture them interacting, sitting in an outside cafe or just walking down the street.

The Botanic Gardens: Most of the garden is free but there is a $25 fee for the Rose Garden and a $75 fee for the Japanese Garden. Well worth the money especially in the spring. I have even photographed large family portraits here and quinceaneras portraits.

The Dallas Arboretum: I love the Arboretum. There are so many areas to shoot here. They do close at 5 pm which means you can be shooting in some pretty harsh light. Also, your brides will have to come already dressed since there is no changing allowed in the rest rooms. A great location for engagement portraits is the vine archway near the Sunken Garden.

Fort Worth Stockyards: Great location for that Texas Cowboy feel.

Trinity Park: This park is a great little park in Fort Worth. I love to photograph under the graffiti ridden bridges. It has an urban feel and my clients love them. Great urban feel with the graffiti on the bridges, makes for really dramatic photos.
